Singer-songwriter Forrest Hill finds himself on familiar yet uncharted terrain with his sixth solo album, Beyond The Veil. After the success of his previous release, Living On The Edge Of Time, Hill returns with a new collection of tracks that delves deeper into existential questions while expanding his sonic palette into new psychedelic folk-rock territories.
The songs on the album craft a musical journey that begins with detachment and alienation, gradually moving through confrontation with personal demons and environmental concerns before discovering redemption through love and present awareness. "Beyond The Veil is my examination of what it means to be human—from moments of alienation and uncertainty about the future to profound spiritual awakening and connection," states Hill.
Beyond The Veil marks Hill's third collaboration with acclaimed producer and multi-instrumentalist J. Christopher Thomas, whose partnership began in 2020. Together, they've expanded Hill's sound to incorporate modern psychedelic elements that nod to The Shins and The War On Drugs, while maintaining the folk-rock foundation that has defined his post-hiatus career.
"The collaboration with J. Christopher Thomas has been instrumental in bringing new dimensions to these songs," Hill notes. "We've pushed into territory that feels both fresh and authentic to where I am as an artist right now."
